03 · Slow looking

Where the city gets quiet

Taking the long way home, and finding a softer edge to the everyday.

Every city has a place where its pace changes: a path beside water, a line of trees beyond a station, a small garden between busy streets. These transitions are easy to overlook.

A slower walk makes the landscape legible. The sound of traffic recedes. Different greens become separate colors. A bench feels like a destination rather than something passed on the way to somewhere else.

Make space for a second look.

Choose one small place and give it ten minutes. There is no need for a plan or a perfect image. The point is to arrive, to look, and to carry a little of that quiet back into the day.
